God's Grace Family Ministries

Growing in my faith and love for helping others, I was pulled in a direction from a friend who has traveled to Uganda and grew to love their culture, there way of life and their resilience to survive. I too became involved by a young Pastor, Amumpaire Peter, from Ishongororo, Ibanda District in Central Uganda. He was struggling in maintaining the care of 8 children that were without families to support them. His mother, brother and he, along with the children, lived in a 3 room, run down home that was in bad shape. This is when I came along, God calls us in times you least expect. As Peter and now our longest member in our group, Vanessa prayed and fasted for 3 days, petitioning the Lord to provide a way to build a children's home as there was so many in need. They came to me after and asked me to join in the efforts, and without a second thought, I said YES. Today, we have grown and continued in prayer, allowing God to manage every step that we take. In less than three years, we have built a home for the kids, managed to provide sponsors for each which provided tuition, clothing and food. We are growing faster than we ever dreamed. But by adding more and more it requires more and more. God has delivered this oasis in the dessert for the ones who have come to be in the family of Children's Home of Hope. We have so much more to do to expand our land's food supply with agriculture, finishing a larger building for more children dorms, and a church and school are on the horizon to allow self-containment and full services on site. As we move towards a brighter tomorrow for those in need, we pray that God will bring those who also have the same heart and compassion as we do. I know God is doing great things in our lives and those who we are serving, so we will continue to do all things in Christ our Saviors Name, as "We walk by faith, not by sight!!"
